Wacom Cintiq 21UX Interactive Pen Display

Wacom have created a new Interactive Pen Display called the Wacom Cintiq 21UX. The device utilises a 21 inch touchscreen LCD display that is designed to be colour accurate. The Cintiq can detect up to 2048 levels of pressure that start in the range from near zero allowing the user to easily draw on the surface and have it capture exactly what is needed.

Qualcomm 7×30 Smartphone Platform Increases 3D Performance

A couple of videos have surfaced showing off Qualcomm’s new smartphone platform 7×30. The new platform uses the Snapdragon CPU and is designed as a system-on-chip that has capabilities of HD video at 720p as well as capabilities to utilise 3D.

Asus Eee Top ET2010PNT all-in-one PC makes a German appearance

It’s not just notebooks like the Asus Eee PC 1201PN on display at CeBIT in Germany that are getting the next-generation NVIDIA ION treatment. The folks at Engadget stumbled across the first all-in-one Eee Top desktop computer with next-generation ION graphics at the trade show today. The Asus Eee Top ET2010PNT has an incredibly long and complicated sounding name.

HiVision showcases dirt cheap 7 inch Android tablet

Chinese PC maker HiVision has a tendency to pump out cheap mini-computers that we never see in the US. But that doesn’t stop them from showing up at trade shows. The company is on-hand at CeBIT in Germany this week, and jkkmobile spotted an interesting 7 inch tablet that could sell for as little as $100… in China anyway

Archos 9 Windows 7 tablet to get a spec bump

In addition to launching new 7 and 8 inch internet tablets , the folks at Archos have also announced plans to give their 9 inch Windows 7 tablet a faster processor. Jkkmobile reports that the new Archos 9 tablet will features a 1.2GHz processor instead of the 1.1GHz Atom Z510 CPU used in current models. The rest of the specs appear to be staying the same, so it looks like you’re still going to get 1GB of RAM, a 1.8″ 60GB hard drive, 8.9 inch 1024 x 600 pixel resistive touchscreen display, and Windows 7 Starter.

Gigabyte launches Q1000C, M1000 netbooks

Asus isn’t the only company on a netbook launching spree today. Gigabyte also has at least three new models on display at CeBIT this week. In addition to the T1000 convertible tablet style netbook , Gigabyte it introducing the new Q1000C and M1000 series netbooks

EviGroup introduces 10 inch Paddle tablet

I don’t know if you can use the new EviGroup Paddle to play tablet tennis. But the company’s tablet features a 10.1 inch, multitouch display, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, and a choice of solid state disk or hard drive.

Asus introduces Eee PC 1201PN, 1016P, 1018P

Asus introduced three new laptops today. While the model numbers make the Eee PC 1201pN, Eee PC 1018P and Eee PC 1016P sound like modest updates to existing notebooks, these machines actually feature some pretty notable changes in both specs and case design. Asus Eee PC 1201PN This 12.1 inch notebook looks virtually identical to the Eee PC 1201N.

HTC HD2 as well as Other WM6.X Devices Won’t Get Windows Phone 7 Series

Mitsumi Chip to enhance LCD Pictures

Mitsumi are creating a chip that aims to increase the quality of cheap LCD TV images. The chip is called the MRFX-0001 and is capable of boosting colour, white balance and sharpness of pictures. Although it wont be backwards compatible in that you can buy the chip and fit it in your cheap LCD TV, it will be shipping to manufacturers who create cheaper TV’s that perhaps might have had poor image quality from the start… thus boosting the quality closer to that of a better TV
