First look at the MSI Wind Box DE220 nettop

I got a chance to check out the recently announced MSI Wind Box DE220 nettop while I was at CES earlier this month. And then I kept forgetting to upload the pictures. So here you go.

Samsung X120 thin and light notebook unboxed

The Samsung X120 is a thin and light laptop with an 11.6 inch display and an Intel CULV processor. Samsung doesn’t offer this model in the US, instead focusing on the Samsung N510 mini-laptop which is a similar size, but which has an Atom processor and NVIDIA ION graphics instead. Finally Motorola Motoroi will come to US. This phone in the past months had been known with the codename Sholes in US. In the first release it had been available in Chinesse and Korean market.Soon it will appear in USA market as now the rumors have been around.

Apple iPad Doesn’t have Flash

When the Apple AAPL iPad promotional video launched it showed the iPad tablet browsing the New York Times webpage along with Adobe Flash content integrated. This caused some interest around the web as people started to believe that the iPad would support flash content which would then lead to the iPhone and iPod Touch also including it as they will run from the same OS soon. However, it seems like Apple’s marketing department actually added the flash content in manually to the final cut of the video as the more accurate result is that you should see a blue brick asking you to install flash.

The iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad all use the same operating system although the iPad when launched will run version 3.2. There are a few differences in OS 3.2 which can now be put on to the Apple AAPL iPhone. To achieve getting the 3.2 functionality on to OS 3.0 on the current iPhone you need to jailbreak your phone first.

Lenovo ThinkPad X100e reviewed again, battery still stinks

The Lenovo ThinkPad X100e stands apart from other notebooks in the thin and light crowd in a couple of ways. First, it has an AMD Neo MV-40 processor and ATI Radeon 3200 HD graphics, which you don’t find in a lot of 11.6 inch laptops.

Hivision 7″ Android netbook reviewed

Charbax at Arm Devices has posted a video review of the Hivision PWS700CA , an ARM-based min-laptop running Google Android. The device has a 600MHz ARM-based CPU, 128MB of RAM, and a 7 inch, 800 x 480 pixel display.

Apple iPad’s $499 price tag has other tablet makers rethinking pricing

With a base price of $499, the recently announced iPad isn’t exactly cheap. Most netbooks, smartphones, and other mobile computing devices available today can be picked up for significantly less. But for an Apple product, $499 ain’t bad.
